Sailing Venue

The Patawalonga Lake (aka "the Pat") is a man made lake at Glenelg North in Adelaide SA. The Pat is the home venue for the Adelaide Radio Control Yacht Racing Club Inc.

We've been at this venue for several years and those of us who have travelled a bit consider it one of the best rc yachting venues. The Pat is approximately 80m wide and runs in a roughly N.NE/S.SW direction at the boat shed end.  The bank is about 2m above the water so competitors get an excellent view of the far buoys. We have a boat shed for storage of our dinghy and other equipment and there are excellent toilet and shower facilities in the Scout Hall to which we have access.
